This Privacy Policy explains how Noble Bloom Ltd. (“Noble Bloom,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Gold Medal: Mathematics mobile and tablet application (the “App”) and our marketing website (the “Site”). The App is distributed only through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Noble Bloom Ltd. is a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada.

Privacy at a glance

This summary is for convenience only; the full policy below governs.

1. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to personal information we process through the App and the Site. It does not apply to:

The App is offered in selected countries. It is not currently offered in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, mainland China, or Türkiye. If you access it from those regions, you do so on your own initiative and we do not intend to offer the App to you there.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

2.2 Content you submit for grading

To use AI grading, you may submit your mathematical work as a photo of paper or a drawing made on the in-App sketchpad. See Section 5 for exactly how this content is handled — in short, it is processed transiently and not stored by us.

2.3 Information collected automatically

We treat device identifiers and IP addresses as personal information even when they are not tied to your name.

2.4 Purchases

The App is sold for a one-time price and offers an optional “Go Pro” subscription (monthly or yearly) and in-app purchases such as “Grade my solutions.” All payments are processed by Apple or Google, not by us. We receive your subscription/entitlement status (e.g., active or expired) but do not receive your full payment card number.

3. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

For users under 13, persistent identifiers are used only to support the internal operations of the App and not for behavioral advertising or profiling.

4. AI grading and photo/sketchpad handling (how we protect your work)

When you submit a photo or sketchpad drawing for grading:

  1. Metadata removal. We strip metadata — including any location (EXIF GPS) data, device identifiers, and timestamps — from the image before any further processing.
  2. Transient processing. The image is held only in memory while it is graded. We do not write it to a database, file storage, backups, or logs. Once grading is complete, the image is discarded.
  3. Zero-retention AI provider. Grading is performed by Amazon Web Services (AWS) Bedrock running Anthropic Claude models. Under AWS Bedrock’s service terms, submitted content is not stored by the provider after the response is returned, is not used to train models, and is not reviewed by humans.
  4. What we keep. We keep the grade and feedback generated for your work (as part of your progress data), but not the image itself.

Please do not write your real name, your school’s name, or other personal details on work you photograph — we only need to see your mathematics. The App will remind you of this when you use the camera.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

We do not display third-party behavioral/targeted advertising in the App.

6. Children’s privacy

We care about the privacy of children and design the App to minimize data from younger users.

7. Data retention

8. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International data transfers

Noble Bloom is based in Canada, and our service providers may process information in Canada, the United States, and other countries. These jurisdictions may have data-protection laws different from those where you live. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate protection for your information.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You can also reset or delete much of your data by deleting your profile in the App and removing the App from your device.

Canada. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), and, for Québec residents, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25). You may direct questions or complaints to our Privacy Officer (Section 12).

United States. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Residents of certain U.S. states may have rights to access, delete, or correct their personal information; contact us at [email protected] to make a request.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the App or on the Site. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
